The Enchanted Garden has proven to be a wonderful way to keep my inspiration going. After working on it for two months. I have discovered that I need the first month of a theme to get my inspiration and document it. Then at least another month to put it into sketch and crafts. Got a bit worked up about that (as you know) - I did consider to not chose a theme this month so I could catch up... then it dawned on me that I planned to make this a year long project. And even more importantly I wanted to get inspired by it, not stressed. So the themed month will go on, every 24th will be a new theme, I will do research and draw inspiration, document mostly photographically. Then go with the flow and see where the different themes take me and where I end up at the end of the year....
Doing this I think I hope to get a good balance in my creative work.
How do you keep your inspiration going?
This month my theme is Protea.

Great idea to have amonthly theme!!! That might cure me of blocks!!! Thanks!
Sounds fantastic, and your photos have been great.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your protea theme! :)
Your spider web photo is stunning. The lighting on the strands and the short depth of field that put the focus on the beauty of the workmanship are excellent. I am inspired by reading blogs such as yours.
beautiful shot. i find it hard to catch the right angle, right glimmer, right background for spiderweb photos.
I'm rarely inspired, for art that is. I thought that visiting blogs was a source of inspiration, but now, I think it blocks me. Too much information...
As for my work, research is probably the most important part of the creative process. Strange.
i like the idea of themes too, it will keep you focused i think and ask you to stretch your creative mind even more than you thought you could. i'm loving your photos and your sketch below, really beautiful, really! wish i could meet you for a coffee in one of your spots and trade inspiration! one day maybe right? who knows...for now, have a creative weekend my friend!
sounds good to me... and man! that´s a pretty shot!
