Visiting to Kirstenbosch

The weather has been really nice last 3 days- and also quite warm. FINALLY! I am craving a trip up the Westcoast, one to the Overberg and one down to the Gardenroute, well i am craving a trip into any kind of countryside around Cape Town. Problem being that each these trips are at least a whole day trip ( and that is squeezing it!) and I simply haven't had the time to do that.
So today I went to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. A mini country trip. I now live in the City- before we moved here, we stayed in a house in the leafy suburb of Fernwood, 100m from the gardens. So I spent a lot of time in the gardens since we moved to South Africa. Its a fantastic place to just chill, go for picnic, read a book, sketch, have tea or lunch in one of the restaurants, or go for a walk up table mountain and obviously to look at the beautiful flowers and plants of South Africa. All plants (with exception of a few camphor trees, a couple of palm trees and all the oaks in it) are indigenous. Being from Switzerland this incredibly rich fauna never seizes to amaze me and I always find something interesting and new. I went on photo tour- so I am (and only once) apologizing before hand and warn you. This might bore you! I took lots of photos, and feel inspired- maybe I'm even getting another obsession?
Anyhow; I will post the photos of the spring in Cape Town over the next few days
