Cape Canary

Cape Canary

My May-Mystery-Socks are one of my favorite socks I have ever knitted! (not that I have knitted that many) I chose its name because I cant get over how well the yarn matches the lovely birds colours (the Cape Canary are one of my favorites birds round here)

17

The yarn was given to me by a fellow Ravler, she ended up not liking the yellow, so she posted it to me all the way from the US last October. They are Madelinetosh Tosh Sock in Chamomile. I love the subtle colour variations of the yellow and its brightness. It was the first time I used this yarn and will definitely use it again. The stitch definition is ideal for textured or Lacey socks- my favorite kind of hand knitted socks.

The pattern is by Cookie A., it is for the SKA Group (ravelry link). It was published as the May mystery knit along, where every week a further clue was given. It was a super fun pattern, challenging at just the right amount of time to keep it interesting.
