Treasure

The moment is treasure most in life are those

when my deepest part in my souls is moved by the light reflecting on the water, the petal move in the wind- totally aware and absolutely amazed

when I am like a rock washed over by the weaves of life seemingly unaffected, secretly knowing that I'm polished into something beautiful

when I am able to create something meaningful, deep from my heart - and hopefully a little treasure

when I am aware of who is with me treasuring their special gift and qualities

when time stands still for a moment , noticing that each moment is perfect in it self

when I am content and still- completely in balance with the world around me

when I am with the ones I love

those are true moments of happiness- the moments that create memories which I treasure for the rest of my life!

Carpe Diem

This week we spontaneously decided that we should go on a road trip

Our destination was the Westcoast Natue Reserve

We were hoping we would see the spring flowers- but as it turns out we were late, they were already gone!

that wasn't going to dim our mood or sense of adventure- so we still went a long walk ( hoping a little bit to turn a corner and see carpets of spring flowers!! )

met mr. tortoise (actually quite a few of them)

walked through a field of wild irises (their scent is truly amazing!)
turned a corner
and!

saw lots of Game!!!!

Well, I guess spring is here! most of the game we saw- and we saw so much had babies!
my favourite were the baby Ostriches, but family Ostrich don't like being photographed...so you will have to take my word for it ;)


This weeks Word is CARPE DIEM, seize the moment!
And I love my spontaneous trips however close or far! They are so rejuvenating and make me feel alive!! I promised myself now that it is spring I will do that more again

AROMA

This weeks word was Aroma. And the first thing that pop in my mind was coffee- so thought i'll take a photo of a good cup of steaming coffee... that clearly didnt happen
Then suddenly yesterday I remembered my student years- we had to make flavourings- or as we called them aromas- like fish or onion, my worst was strawberry, because it doesnt smell or taste like strawberry and the sweet smell makes me feel sick. And worse having to learn all those formulas- most of which i have forgotten
So today i painted- the bottom thing- stands for the cup (aka coffee), the funny bobbles is an imaginary formula- but the colours are for the aroma and its nature. Aroma travels and unfolds spreading itself... opening up a world of experiences and memories .....and then slowly vanishes.

WANDERLUST

The word was chosen by me this week. And it was inspired by my own yearning for travel, which quite frankly is and always was a constant in my life. I love wandering about the surface of this world, discovering and admiring its astonishing diversity and beauty. I had so many ideas for this, but i was sick most of the week and really not in a let's be productive state. So i doodled this quickly this morning...

Weekword and a little break

Valentina has asked me to chose the week word for this week. Even though I had been contemplating the whole weekend I still wasn't any further yesterday night. And then I woke up this morning still sick or even sicker than the last few days, which means I will be stuck at home for another day (at least!)! My nomadic heart was aching and I looked at photos of my last trip home... suddenly I started dreaming up journeys and trips, looking at the world map thinking:" yes that would be interesting uuuhhh and I always wanted to go there..."


So the weekword is : WANDERLUST

After a week of baffling about this word- and drawing a complete and utter blank- I woke up this morning and felt like I needed to reinvent myself- went to cupboard and voila! I know that's a bit superficial but it made me feel a wee bit different. Am off to work on the deeper issues

Laziness

I finally overcame my laziness and joined the week word. I have been admiring Amiee's version of countless words for weeks now, asking her every now and then what the word was, just to chicken out or get lazy, and now I finally did it!

Simply how I felt this morning- to lazy to get out of bed... when it is rainy outside it makes me lazy and I feel like cuddling up in bed under a heap of duvets.
